Job Description
Position Summary The Project Manager at Sentry Exteriors is responsible for overseeing residential roofing, siding, gutter, window, deck, and exterior remodeling projects from pre-construction through final completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for homeowners during production and is responsible for coordinating crews, materials, schedules, quality control, safety, and customer communication. The Project Manager ensures every project is completed according to company standards, manufacturer specifications, budget expectations, and customer commitments. Success in this role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, construction knowledge, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Coordination Review project scopes and ensure all job details are accurate before production begins. Conduct pre-construction inspections to verify job readiness. Coordinate material deliveries, subcontractors, equipment, and project schedules. Ensure all projects are properly scheduled and managed within company software platforms. Verify homeowners receive access to customer communication portals and project updates. Production Management Manage roofing, siding, gutter, window, deck, and exterior construction projects from start to finish. Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Ensure subcontractors understand project scopes, specifications, and compensation structures. Verify all work is completed according to manufacturer requirements, building codes, and company standards. Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedules, budgets, or customer satisfaction. Quality Control & Safety Enforce job site safety standards and company policies. Hold subcontractors accountable for workmanship quality and site cleanliness. Conduct quality inspections throughout production and prior to project completion. Ensure punch list items are completed promptly and correctly. Verify all debris removal, material returns, and final cleanup requirements are completed. Customer Experience Serve as the primary production contact for homeowners. Communicate scheduling updates, project milestones, and expectations clearly throughout the project. Provide daily progress updates when projects are active. Address homeowner concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly. Conduct final walkthroughs and ensure all completion documents are signed. Financial & Administrative Management Track project costs and ensure all expenses are properly documented and assigned. Monitor job profitability and communicate potential budget concerns. Manage and document change orders as needed. Ensure purchase orders, work orders, invoices, and project documentation are completed accurately. Maintain photo documentation and ensure project photos are uploaded consistently throughout production. Business Development Support Help generate homeowner referrals through exceptional service. Encourage satisfied customers to leave online reviews. Represent Sentry Exteriors professionally in all customer and subcontractor interactions. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to climb ladders, inspect roofs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Preferred 2-5 years of experience in roofing, siding, exterior remodeling, construction management, or a related field. Experience managing residential construction projects. Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline. Knowledge of roofing systems, siding systems, gutters, windows, and exterior building products. Familiarity with project management software, CRM systems, and construction documentation.
