Job Description

As an Electrical Superintendent with PeopleReady Skilled Trades, you'll support electrical contractors in Richmond, VA. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Superintendent to join our team. This role involves overseeing and managing multi-family or hotel electrical projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Experience working on multi-story buildings, including parking garages and pools, is preferred for this 13-month project. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise all aspects of electrical contracting projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination Oversee and lead project teams, including electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient execution of tasks Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and goals Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and satisfaction Prepare and review project documentation, including budgets, schedules, and progress reports Address and resolve issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and specifications Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to team members Ensure all work meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of electrical experience (installer or lead role) Minimum of 3-5 years of superintendent or supervisory experience Prior commercial experience preferred (multi-family or hotel projects a plus) Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety regulations (OSHA 30 is a plus) Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple workstreams Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with project management tools and software Valid electrician's license or relevant certifications preferred Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation The hourly rate for this position is $40-$45/hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
