Job DescriptionTimmons Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our Land Development practice in Staunton, VA. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse projects — from multi-family and mixed-use developments to public infrastructure like schools, parks, and fire stations. You'll guide teams through zoning entitlements, site plan approvals, and construction support, all while fostering a collaborative and fast-paced work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
Lead design efforts using Civil 3D and other modeling technologiesOversee project planning, budgeting, and schedulingPrepare technical specifications and cost estimatesWork to complete design details and plan setsCoordinate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholdersMentor junior engineers and contribute to business developmentSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or related fieldProfessional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business is preferred6+ years of experience in land development Strong project management and client communication skillsProficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related softwareAdditional InformationThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
