Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for supervising and managing all activities related to concrete construction on a construction site. They work closely with construction crews, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that concrete work is executed efficiently and in accordance with project plans and specifications.Responsibilities:
1.Project Planning and preparation:
Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand concrete requirements Develop a concrete construction plan, including scheduling, resource allocation, and equipment needs Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are obtained and scheduled 2.Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and manage concrete construction crews, including concrete finishers, laborers, and equipment operators Provide clear instructions and guidance to workers to ensure tasks are performed safely and accurately Monitor work progress and productivity, adjusting as needed to meet project deadlines 3.Quality Control:
Ensure that concrete mixes are prepared correctly and meet specified quality standards Monitor concrete placement and finishing to achieve the desired surface quality and appearance Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any defects or issues 4.Safety Compliance:
Enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries Maintain a safe and clean work environment 5.Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders Report project progress, challenges, and deviations from the plan to higher management Assist with other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen Driver's License required Extensive experience in concrete construction, with a proven track record of successful projects Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and curing techniques Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans Excellent leadership, communication, and problemsolving skills Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively Physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging weather conditions Must have a positive attitude and be willing to do satisfy customer requests Must be able to communicate with higher level/executive management with confidence Must be a quick thinker and able to adapt to changes at anytime Drug Free Workplace Ryan Construction is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of our employees, customers, and the community.
