Job Description

Description:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will work closely with the Project Manager to oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The APM will be responsible for helping with planning, coordination, and execution of projects, as well as supporting administrative and technical duties to keep the project running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow in the field of construction project management and gain hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to close-out. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met. Support the development and management of project schedules, budgets, and resources. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, schedules, and meeting minutes. Assist in tracking project progress, identifying and resolving issues, and reporting project status to stakeholders. Conduct site visits to monitor quality, safety, and compliance with plans and specifications. Help manage change orders, RFIs, and submittals. Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project success.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1-3 years of experience in construction management or a related role preferred. Commercial Interiors and/or Multifamily experience desired. Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail. Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, MS Project is a plus). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.
