Full-time McLeod Construction, a Seattle-based General Contractor, is seeking an experienced construction estimator/project manager with Building Envelope Repair experience to join our growing company. Experience with siding, deck, window, door, and roof repair/replacement estimates is a must! Knowledge of liquid applied traffic coatings would be a huge plus! Due to progressive growth, this opportunity is available for highly motivated candidates who have a strength in project management and estimating. Candidates must live in greater Puget Sound area. No relocation is being offered. This position includes Estimating and Project Management (approx. 30/70)Estimator Duties:
Responsible for estimating, providing project and sales support for construction projects and seeing projects through to completion Complete take off and create pricing breakout for self-performing trades Prepare and maintain project goals and budgets Demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness to secure the most competitive pricing Follow-up with subcontractors to ensure bids are complete and are received on time Bid and budget submittal 100% on time, every time, no exceptions Conduct on-going project reviews with Project Management Team to identify and resolve any potential obstaclesProject Manager Duties:
Project management is the focus for this position. Ability to prepare, complete and distribute project submittals, RFI's, PCO's, and project closeout documents (O&M Manuals/warranties). Track job costs through committed costs, timesheets, and AP invoice review on a weekly basis. Maintain accurate budgets and cost-to-complete projections. Using MS Project to schedule each project and provide 3-week look ahead's as requested. Ensure invoicing is done on a timely basis (through Accounting) and follow up on payment as needed. Assist with performance review of those working on your team.Estimator/Project Manager Qualifications:
5+ years' experience estimating/managing projects ranging from $50,000- $5 Million in value Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management (or work experience equivalent).
