Position Overview:
GPT Renewables is seeking an experienced Hydropower Site Manager / Technical Advisor to support a multi-year hydroelectric generator refurbishment project in Priest Rapids, Washington . This position is responsible for coordinating daily site activities, organizing field personnel, supporting client communication, maintaining project readiness, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced field leader with a strong background in hydropower operations, generator refurbishment, or power-generation field services. Experienced Technical Advisors with transferable turbine/generator experience who are ready to transition into a Site Manager role may also be considered.

Primarily 4x10s, with occasional 5x10s or 6x10s based on project needs
Pay Rate:
Approximately $80.00/hour
Per Diem:
$178/day for eligible travelers Responsibilities Organize and coordinate daily site activities, work assignments, and project priorities. Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination for field personnel. Coordinate with field crews, supervision, safety, quality, and project leadership. Ensure required safety procedures and controls are in place before work begins. Participate in client meetings and communicate project progress, concerns, and upcoming activities. Plan upcoming work with the project team and communicate daily priorities. Ensure necessary tools, materials, equipment, and site supplies are available to support field activities. Identify and escalate site concerns, constraints, material needs, and other issues that could impact project execution. Coordinate required inspections and ensure activities are properly completed and documented. Support blasting-related activities, measurements, documentation, and reporting as required. Maintain regular communication and reporting with project leadership. Help maintain project schedules while supporting safety and quality expectations. Required Qualifications Direct hydroelectric power plant experience required. Approximately 510 years of hydropower/hydroelectric facilities or related power-generation industry experience preferred. Previous experience in site supervision, construction management, field leadership, or a similar role within hydropower environment Experience coordinating multiple field functions such as craft labor, supervision, safety, and quality. Strong organizational and daily planning skills. Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, project leadership, and clients. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
