A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.

Job Description

- $72.00/hour (depending on years of experience, project experience, software proficiency, and overall qualifications) Location
- Mercer Island, WA (Onsite with travel to project sites throughout the greater Seattle area) Schedule
- Standard Monday-Friday (40+ hours per week) Responsibilities
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, cost controls, procurement activities, and project financials.
- Administer contracts, manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and subcontractor buyouts.
- Partner with Superintendents to coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and field operations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Lead project planning, risk management, reporting, and overall project execution.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. Qualification Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- 2+ years managing K-12 educational construction projects.
- Experience completing at least two ground-up commercial construction projects from cradle to grave.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and cost control.
- Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with public works, municipal, multifamily, mixed-use, tenant improvement, or commercial projects is highly preferred.
- Experience with Procore is a plus. Disqualifiers
- Less than 5 years of construction project management experience.
- No commercial ground-up project experience.
- No experience managing project budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
- No exposure to RFIs, submittals, and change order processes.
