Construction Manager (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary:
This onsite position plays a central and dynamic support role in the full lifecycle of construction projects, from initiation through closeout. By coordinating cross-functional activities, maintaining rigorous documentation standards, and supporting construction managers, commissioning teams, and engineering teams, this role ensures that schedules are met, deliverables are tracked, and all stakeholders remain aligned. Job Responsibilities:
Support construction activities from project initiation through closeout, ensuring tasks, schedules, and action items are tracked and executed on time Coordinate meetings, vendor activities, engineering site visits, and internal cross-functional discussions to maintain project progress Assist in preparing project approval tools, requests for proposals, and scope-of-work documentation to support on-time delivery Participate in weekly meetings for construction projects across the Metro Oversee project repositories, including SharePoint or equivalent systems, ensuring clear organization, retrieval, and version control of documentation across all project phases Maintain, track, and archive required project documentation, including drawings, logs, compliance records, engineering reports, and turnover packages Actively participate in project site safety, including daily site reviews for EHS observations, and assist with coordination of EHS-related documentation Track project constraints and risks, escalate delays or issues, and initiate acceleration programs when critical path tasks are compromised Assist in monitoring vendor performance and ensuring contract compliance, including coordinating documentation required for commissioning managers and contractors Provide accurate project progress data, KPI metrics, and schedule updates to support cost management and reporting
Requirements:
Prior experience in a construction project coordination or project support role is strongly preferred Experience working in large-scale construction or infrastructure environments is a plus Familiarity with construction scheduling tools, including Primavera P6, is preferred OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred Any relevant construction management, project management, or safety certifications are a plus Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Innovative and solutions-oriented mindset with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities Ability to pivot quickly and adapt to the evolving needs of the team and project environment Effective communication and coordination skills for interfacing with construction managers, commissioning teams, engineering teams, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders Proficiency in documentation management and version control using SharePoint or equivalent platforms Familiarity with construction scheduling, KPI reporting, and project controls Knowledge of EHS compliance practices and safety documentation in a construction environment Experience with Bluebeam for document management and markup
