- $160,000 base + bonus potential A well-established general contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee field operations on a variety of public works projects throughout the Puget Sound region.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving project execution, maintaining schedules, and ensuring high standards of safety and quality in the field. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading crews on complex civil scopes including utilities, roadway, and site development work. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day field operations across multiple civil construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, field staff, and project teams to ensure schedules are met Enforce safety standards and promote a strong safety culture on-site Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively solve field challenges Ensure quality control and compliance with contract documents and specifications Collaborate closely with Project Managers on budgets, schedules, and reporting Experience Needed 5-10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction Proven background working on public works projects (DOT, municipal, or similar) Experience managing field operations for projects involving: Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm) Roadway and site development Earthwork and grading Experience leading crews and coordinating subcontractors on active job sites Qualifications Required Strong understanding of civil construction methods, sequencing, and best practices Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proven ability to manage schedules and drive projects to completion OSHA knowledge and a strong commitment to job site safety Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites Benefits Included Competitive base salary ($120,000
