Value driven, family-oriented company looking for a "Project Manager" that has the drive to lead our self-performed teams, in addition to subcontractors, to exceed our customers' expectations in everything we do. Essential Functions The Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating a wide variety of construction projects, including the building and remodeling of all types of commercial structures. The Project Manager will provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding in a quality manner, on schedule and within budget. Oversee and direct construction projects from award to completion. Prepare, assist and enforce project schedules. Meet and maintain open line of communication with management, owner/tenant, field staff, architect and engineer. Conduct project meetings as necessary to keep project team up-to-date. Procures all permits and interfaces with governing authorities for inspections and approvals. Evaluate cost performance and implement change when necessary. Complete accurate monthly job cost reporting within prescribed timeframe. Qualifications The Project Manager must have 10 years of field experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity. The right candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in blueprint and specification reading and design. They will have experience in estimating and managing self-performed and subcontracted work. Must know how to use popular construction project management software, along with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as owner and sub-contracts, procedure manuals, and governmental regulations. Organization, time-management, leadership skills, competency in conflict & crisis management and budgeting is of prime importance. The right candidate will definitely excel if they are able to continue to sell work and make big deals beyond the initial project!
