ABOUT THE ROLE
The Area Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of multiple customer facilities by developing employees, ensuring exceptional service quality, building strong customer relationships, and driving operational excellence. This position partners closely with Supervisors, Team Leaders, and frontline employees to create safe, efficient, and customer-focused operations while supporting the continued growth of GSF. The Area Manager provides leadership through coaching, accountability, and hands-on support while ensuring operational, financial, and customer service goals are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader who enjoys developing people, building relationships, solving problems, and leading by example.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the daily operations of multiple assigned customer facilities. Recruit, develop, coach, and mentor Supervisors, Team Leaders, and frontline employees. Conduct routine site visits, quality inspections, and operational assessments to ensure customer expectations are consistently met. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by responding promptly to questions, concerns, and service requests. Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, labor utilization, and overtime to support operational and financial objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements. Monitor inventory, equipment, and supply usage while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. Support recruiting, onboarding, training, employee engagement, and retention initiatives. Identify opportunities for additional services while supporting business development and customer retention efforts. Prepare and maintain required operational reports, documentation, and administrative records. Provide hands-on operational support and assist with customer coverage or special projects when business needs require. Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of two years of supervisory or management experience required. Commercial cleaning, facility services, or related operations management experience preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred or required based on assignment. Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record. Ability to travel regularly between assigned customer locations. Ability to successfully complete any required background screening. Bilingual, English/Spanish Fluency (Required)

Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building abilities. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business technology. Ability to analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Commitment to safety, accountability, teamwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand, walk, and conduct site inspections for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, climb stairs, and move throughout customer facilities. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel frequently between assigned customer locations. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment while visiting customer facilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in both office and customer facility environments, including schools, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and other commercial buildings. Frequent travel between assigned customer locations is required. The employee may occasionally be exposed to dust, odors, cleaning chemicals, varying temperatures, and other conditions associated with commercial cleaning operations.
