Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial and large residential construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of construction regulations and safety protocols. As a Construction Superintendent, you will coordinate teams, manage subcontractors, review technical drawings, and ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards. Duties Lead daily operations on construction sites, supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules. Review and interpret complex construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to guide project execution. Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software, coordinating schedule updates with project teams. Manage project budgets by tracking costs, overseeing procurement processes, and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization. Enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality control, safety compliance, and progress against project milestones. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, clients, and stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and resolve issues promptly. Oversee contract administration, including reviewing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure scope compliance and proper documentation. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Primavera P6 for project documentation, reporting, and communication. Supervise the review of blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accuracy before execution. Manage team performance through effective crew management, training, and supervision to foster a productive work environment. Experience Proven track record in managing commercial or public construction projects with significant supervisory responsibilities. Extensive experience in construction site management including scheduling, safety management, budgeting, and quality assurance. Strong knowledge of construction regulations such as OSHA standards and federal safety protocols. Proficiency with construction scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or Primavera P3; experience with Construction Management Software such as ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately. Experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards and quality control. Skilled in managing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers while ensuring scope compliance through effective documentation review. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing is a plus but not mandatory. Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with strong leadership qualities necessary for supervising diverse teams on-site.
