12036 Overview Barton Malow is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent for a travel-based project assignment. In this role, you'll provide hands-on field leadership, overseeing day-to-day construction operations while ensuring the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is critical to coordinating subcontractors and trade partners, enforcing safety and quality expectations, and resolving field challenges on complex projects. The ideal candidate brings proven superintendent leadership and the ability to build strong relationships with project teams, trade partners, and internal stakeholders. This is a travel-based role; candidates should be comfortable being on-site at the project location for the duration of the assignment. Position Summary The Senior Superintendent leads daily construction activities on the jobsite to ensure the project is completed within budget, schedule, and quality standards. As the senior field leader, this role sets the safety and quality culture, mentors project and field staff, and carries administrative responsibilities including coordinating with contractors and suppliers, monitoring material inventory, developing reports, conducting inspections, and implementing safety policies and regulations. Key Job Responsbilities Lead and oversee all phases of the construction project, from initial planning through closeout. Communicate and enforce compliance with all safety and quality control processes and procedures. Supervise, coordinate, and sequence contractor work to minimize interference between trades on the project. Maintain records of labor and material cost, and track inventory to ensure materials are on hand to support the schedule. Take a lead role in addressing and resolving trade disputes and work jurisdiction issues. Provide leadership and mentorship to field staff, and manage relationships and communication with internal team members, subcontractors, and trade partners. Qualifications 10+ years of superintendent leadership experience. 10+ years of commercial construction experience. Willingness to travel and work on-site at the project location for the duration of the assignment. OSHA 30 certification preferred.
