Part-Time to Full-Time About the Role We are hiring a Field Inspector to visit residential properties across our coverage area and document their condition. This is a driving job. You will spend most of your day on the road, moving between assigned addresses, capturing required photos, and reporting back what you found. This is not a desk job and it is not a real estate photography job. We need clear, accurate, well-lit documentation photos that show exactly what is there — good, bad, and in between. Straight-on shots, full coverage, no staging, no filters. The right person is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working alone, and good about getting assignments turned in on time. What You'll Do Drive to assigned residential properties throughout the coverage area — expect roughly 25 stops per day Photograph exteriors, interiors, and specific areas of concern per the assignment checklist (roof, HVAC, foundation, water damage, appliances, etc.) Capture address verification and street scene photos at every property Complete occupancy checks and note visible condition issues Upload photos and field notes the same day using our mobile app (training provided) Perform light handyman tasks as needed, such as: Installing and swapping lockboxes Replacing or re-keying basic locks Securing loose doors, gates, or windows Minor tightening, patching, and small hardware fixes Basic yard debris pickup and trash removal Report anything that needs a licensed contractor rather than attempting it Communicate promptly by phone or text when access issues, safety concerns, or scheduling conflicts come up Requirements Valid driver's license (current, unrestricted) Current auto insurance — proof required before first assignment Reliable personal vehicle suitable for heavy daily driving and occasional rural or unpaved roads - during first 60 days. Smartphone with a working camera and data plan Comfortable using a mobile app to capture and upload photos Able to walk a full property, climb stairs, and work outdoors in Alabama heat and cold Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs Basic hand tools and the know-how to use them Strong attention to detail — missing photos mean the assignment gets kicked back Professional, respectful conduct at every property; some are occupied Nice to Have Prior experience in field inspections or residential property inspections General handyman, maintenance, or trades background Strong familiarity with North Central Alabama roads and back roads Experience with photo documentation apps Schedule Hours are somewhat flexible. Most inspections must happen during daylight, and assignments carry firm turnaround deadlines, but within those limits you have latitude to build your own route and set your own start time. Volume varies week to week. This can work as a primary job or as steady income alongside other flexible work. Compensation Compensation is discussed during the interview. After a 60-day trial period, the company may be willing to offer additional incentives based on performance and reliability.
