Job Description
Job Description Summary This position may be eligible for a signing bonus, referral incentive and/or moving reimbursement. The Dry Utility Inspector II performs quality assurance inspections and related activities for non-city Utility company infrastructure improvements and other related items including developer related and City capital projects. Reviews and documents field changes in assigned area. Performs inspections on concrete, paving, signage, striping, landscape, utility lines and equipment, and generates punch list for all deficiencies found. Upon completion of the punch list items, coordinate with the utility company to accept project, and closeout permit for City to begin maintaining within right-of-way. The ideal candidate will have civil construction inspection experience in grading, drainage, water, sewer, streets, traffic control and landscape with a minimum of three years' municipal inspection experience related to the installation of non-city utilities such as fiber network, wireless cell tower antennas, power, communications and gas within rights-of-way and easements. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of traffic control principles, easement and right of way dedications, various construction methods and utility standards related to the installation of non-city utilities in right-of-way and easements. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in computer and tablet applications such as Geographic Informational Systems and Microsoft products. EXAMINATION PROCESS

Requirements Formal Education/Knowledge:
Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature that may be obtained with six-months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Community college, vocational, business, technical or correspondence schools are likely sources. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.Experience:
Minimum three years of experience in a related field.Certifications and Other Requirements:
Valid Driver's License Reading:
Work requires the ability to read general correspondence, construction plans and specifications, documents, engineering technical standards, installation standards, and engineering manuals.Math:
Work requires the ability to perform engineering calculations, trigonometry, algebra, geometry; and general math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Writing:
Work requires the ability to write general correspondence, memorandums, handouts, letters, and to enter and retrieve project data utilizing the City's computerized tracking system.Managerial:
