• Fountain Valley Twining Consulting, an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company is seeking a Field Soils Technician to work based out of our Fountain Valley office.

Candidate must be self-starting, be proactive, focus and detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

Provide grading observations. Provide compaction testing on soils, aggregates and asphalt. Document project grading activities. Provide sampling and Quality Control of concrete and/or grout. Provide special inspections per additional inspection certifications in accordance with approved project documents.

Required Competencies:

ICC Soils Inspector License. LA Deputy Grading certification. Nuclear gauge usage certification. ACI Field Technician Grade 1 license is a plus. ICC Reinforced Concrete is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors and potential clients. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental and 401K Plan. Hourly commensurate with experience. This position will travel to various construction sites in the Southern California area.
