Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Geotechnical Field Technician and ACI Certified Concrete Technician - Grade I. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting on-site testing, inspections, and data collection related to soil and concrete. The position offered is for part-time work. Duties Perform soil (sand cone test method only) and concrete testing in accordance with
ASTM/ACI
(American Society for Testing and Material/American Concrete Institute) standards and specifications. Collect and document data accurately during field inspections, including testing soil density, concrete air/slump/temperature tests and casting cylinders. Conduct quality control inspections on construction sites to ensure adherence to project specifications, contracts, and industry standards such as ACI (American Concrete Institute) Standards. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and project managers regarding test results, inspection findings, and potential issues. Maintain detailed records of all testing procedures, inspection reports, and data logs using Microsoft Office tools for reporting purposes. Skills Laboratory experience in construction materials testing, including concrete and soils, is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for report writing and data analysis. Strong understanding of ASTM and ACI standards related to construction materials. Hands-on construction site experience with materials inspection, quality control procedures, and construction inspection practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements such as slump tests or soil density assessments. Experience with soil testing using a sand cone test method and concrete testing procedure. Knowledge of construction specifications and plan review. Excellent analysis skills for interpreting test data and identifying potential issues on-site. Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocols. Effective client communication skills to relay technical information clearly and professionally. $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
