Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., has an opening for a Permit Technician in the Venice, CA area. What You'll Do Provide customer support at the counter and over the phone. Review permit applications for completeness and accuracy. Calculate and collect permit fees. Process and issue building permits. Ensure all conditions of approvals are met prior to issuance. Assist the public with permit applications. Verify all necessary project approvals are obtained prior to permit issuance. Notify applicants when construction documents and/or permits are ready for pick-up or issuance. Coordinate and route documents for plan review and approval. Help resolve resident inquiries and complaints. What You'll Bring Must have ICC Certification and municipal experience (ICC Certification Counter Technician). 3+ years as a Permit Technician required. Knowledge of various permitting software is a plus. Ability to lift/move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 25lbs.
