Job Description

American River Environmental, is looking to fill an entry level, seasonal position for a Storm Water Inspector to support various types of construction projects. California driver's license and clean driving record required, college-level writing skills preferred, construction knowledge is an asset, QSP certification is very favorable and must be able to lift or drag 80-100 pounds. Good computer skills, construction experience, and college education is favored. Salary and benefits are based on education, qualifications, and applicable work experience. Hourly wage ranges DOE per hour. or A current Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) certification is required. California driver's license, acceptable driving record, and clean background check required. Applicants must be proficient and comfortable using Microsoft (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Adobe, Google Earth, and web-based programs and databases. Salesforce software experience is favorable. Organizational skills are essential and candidates must be astute, rapid learners. Education, experience, or interest in environmental or construction disciplines is desirable. Responsibilities include performing stormwater inspections under the Construction General Permit, informing contractors of BMP deficiencies, reviewing projects, conducting research, preparing reports, distributing documents, conducting stormwater sampling an analysis, evaluating and entering data, coordinating with project teams, developing processes, and other administrative responsibilities. The position is full-time with benefits and advancement potential. The work schedule is consistent but flexible and the pay range is DOE per hour, depending upon education, qualifications, and/or experience.
