Field-Based Experience:
5-10+ years Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior ACI Technician to join our team in Denver, CO. This role is ideal for a highly experienced materials testing professional with a strong background in civil construction, concrete testing, and CDOT projects . The Senior ACI Technician will perform field and laboratory testing, ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards, and work closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and inspectors. Experience with CDOT work and civil infrastructure projects is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Perform concrete testing and inspection in accordance with ACI and project specifications Conduct field testing of concrete, aggregate, and other construction materials Perform sampling, testing, documentation, and reporting of construction materials Monitor concrete placement and verify compliance with project requirements Complete testing documentation accurately and efficiently Interpret project specifications, plans, and testing requirements Communicate test results and project issues with engineers, contractors, and project management Support quality control/quality assurance efforts on civil construction projects Perform testing and inspection in accordance with CDOT requirements Maintain accurate daily reports, test records, and inspection documentation Assist with training and mentoring junior technicians Maintain all required certifications and follow applicable safety procedures Required Qualifications 5-10+ years of experience in construction materials testing, concrete testing, or a related field Strong experience with civil construction projects Previous experience working on CDOT projects strongly preferred Current ACI certification required WAQTC certification required CAPA certification required Strong knowledge of concrete testing procedures, specifications, and industry standards Ability to read and interpret construction plans and project specifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple project priorities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors and travel to various project sites throughout the Denver metro area and surrounding regions Preferred Experience CDOT specifications and testing requirements Highway, roadway, bridge, and other civil infrastructure projects Concrete placement and inspection Aggregate and soils testing Quality control/quality assurance Experience mentoring or overseeing junior technicians Compensation & Benefits $35-$45/hour DOE Opportunity for overtime depending on project needs Full-time, long-term opportunity Work on major civil and CDOT projects Opportunity for career growth and advancement If you are an experienced ACI Technician looking to take on a senior-level role with a strong focus on civil construction and CDOT projects, we want to hear from you!
