Job Description

ICC-Certified Building Inspector Needed - Long-Term Multifamily Project (West Hartford, CT) Builder's Protection Group (BPG) is seeking an experienced ICC-certified Building Inspector for a long-term multifamily construction quality assurance project in West Hartford, Connecticut. This assignment is expected to last approximately 3 years and will require approximately one site visit per month throughout construction. Project Scope Monthly onsite inspections of a multifamily construction project. Inspection of construction quality and workmanship throughout all phases of construction. Observation of foundations, framing, MEP installations, building envelope, balconies, windows, doors, and exterior cladding systems as construction progresses. Documentation of observed deficiencies, construction concerns, and potential defect-related issues. Preparation of detailed inspection reports with photographs using BPG's reporting platform. Qualifications Current ICC Building Inspector certification required . Five or more years of experience inspecting new construction projects. Experience with multifamily construction preferred. Ability to identify and document construction quality concerns across structural, architectural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems. Strong written communication and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent monthly inspection schedule. Ideal Candidate Current or former municipal building inspector, building official, plans examiner, third-party code inspector, or construction professional with extensive multifamily construction experience. Compensation Per-inspection compensation. Long-term assignment with anticipated monthly inspections for the duration of the project. (
