Job DescriptionWe are seeking detail-oriented and analytical Construction Field Inspector to join our team in the DMV area. The location will be determined based on site/client office location.

As a Construction Field Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects meet all required standards, codes, and specifications.

Conduct on-site inspections of construction projects at various stages of completionVerify compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulationsExamine construction materials, methods, and workmanship for quality and safetyReview and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specificationsPrepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate recordsIdentify and document code violations or safety hazardsCommunicate findings and recommendations to project managers, contractors, and other stakeholdersCollaborate with other inspectors, engineers, and construction professionalsStay updated on changes in building codes, regulations, and industry best practicesUtilize inspection software and mobile devices to streamline the inspection process QualificationsAssociate Degree in Engineering Technology or Construction Management, with a minimum of 1 year of sidewalk/pavement construction experienceMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction inspection or related fieldIn-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codesProficiency in inspection techniques and ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsStrong written and verbal communication skillsDetail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical abilitiesProficiency in using inspection software and mobile devicesNational Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) certification

  • preferredMid-Atlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP) for Concrete Field and Asphalt Field
  • preferredRelevant certifications (Concrete Field, Asphalt Field, and Soils and Aggregate Compaction, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety) preferredValid driver's license and ability to travel to various construction sites in the DMV areaPhysical ability to navigate construction sites and perform inspections in various weather conditions
Additional InformationProposed Salary:
 $40.00
  • $47.
50 per hour, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
