High school and five (5) years of experience in inspection or the construction trades. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform on-site construction inspections to ensure compliance with adopted codes, approved plans, and specifications. Perform in-depth safety plan reviews for all new construction and renovation projects for facilities associated with UF. Prepare written reports approving or rejecting construction plans in accordance with the adopted codes Record inspection results and plan review comments in permit tracking software 08%]- Approve installation of materials and methods for compliance with adopted codes [05%]
- Operate UF/state vehicle(s) to and from inspection sites.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM 40 hours per week Travel to and from inspection sites.EXPECTED SALARY
$60,000- $64,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience
