Construction Supervisor-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years)#26-14689 Juno Beach, FL Onsite Job Description Safety and Environmental Know project safety/environmental requirements. Set a good example in the field and in the office. Participate in safety discussions and observations during morning POD and
ALL HANDS.
Make suggestions to improve safety. Perform daily safety inspections with crews. Sign every JHA at every work location you visit during the day. Feel free to take a picture of the JHA if Safety Assessment is being performed for Unifier Read each JHA thoroughly. Evaluate for correctness and completeness. Suggest adds/changes if needed. Look for fresh ink and re-tasking Be alert to safety violations. If observed, discuss corrective action with foreman/Superintendent. Stop work if necessary. Engage the crew members as you go about your inspections. Get to know them personally. Encourage the positive behaviors If landowners approach the crews, direct them to the office trailer for resolution of their concerns. Observe site environmental compliance. Notify environmental monitor of anything not in conformance. If the project has a Mapbook for environmental, tribal, and paleontology. Be aware with the sensitive areas, and work with third parties to ensure the project stays in compliance During every site visit, watch for downed silt fence or destroyed straw wattle notify the environmental inspector immediately. Be familiar with NFPA-70E and OSHA standards Review Arc Flash Studies Participate in Empower Safety Training and Required trainings to. Help promote KSA and safety workplace practices. Contractual Read and understand EPC contract and exhibits. Flag items needing clarification prior to Project Page Turn. Flag all OBOM deliverables pertaining to EPC's Collection Scope of Work and make comprehensive list. Prior to Page Turn, read and analyze Schedule of Values for conflicts and missing scope. Ensure unit prices quoted are realistic. Read BOP and note which items are furnished by Owner, and which are furnished by EPC. Flag items where Collection Superintendent can determine acceptable substitutions. Review EPC Contractor's submitted QA-QC program to look for gaps. Make notes for Page Turn. Act as liaison with landowners to keep them as happy as possible without significant extra cost. Engage Clientland agent(s) and PM when necessary to ensure conformance to Landowner Agreements and Exhibits. Drawings and Specifications Become literate in collection drawings and specifications. Keep abreast of updates and changes. Be alert to opportunities for Value Engineering. Bring these up during the Project Page Turn. Interpret drawings and specifications when asked by EPC contractor, resolve questions and conflicts in the field wherever possible. This should be a collaborative effort between Clientand EPC contractor. Review/approve minor deviations requested by EPC to improve collector routing and Junction Box placement. Ensure these changes are in conformance to Specifications regarding field changes. Review and approve contractor requests for BOP substitutions if permitted for that line item. Superintendents are the first to receive RFI's. If possible, answer RFI's without going to Engineering for formal resolution. If RFI requires Engineering input for resolution, forward RFI to Engineering the same day it is received. Ensure EPC contractor is keeping paper Red-lines up to date weekly. During Engineering site visits, ensure the red lines are available for inspection. Ensure sample Red-lines are submitted for Engineering review weekly, and as early in the project as possible. Final Red-lines must be sent to Engineer at the completion of each circuit. Do not allow EPC to wait until all Red-line drawings are complete. documentation Receiving, if doing material receiving Project Cost Track collection progress daily against the Schedule of Values. This includes the following Footage of bores completed Feet of trench completed Footage of cable installed, by cable size Compaction Testing Cable testing Splices/Terminations Cable-grounds Junction Boxes received, set level and grounded Fault Indicators and Lighting Arrestors installed Padmount Transformers set and grounded Bollards installed at JB's and PMT's Medium Voltage terminations completed at PMT Low Voltage terminations completed at PMT and Down-tower Assembly Trench ground or fiber installed if separate from regular cable trenching Fiber terminations and testing by Circuit Met Tower rack and erection Radar Other items included in the Schedule of Values Using the Schedule of Values as a template, submit a tally of work progress to the Construction Manager/Project Manager every two weeks to check against EPC Contractor's billing. Project Schedule Ensure Collector System is on schedule to energize circuits timely and in the desired order. Work with EPC to build out turbines so feeders are complete for commissioning. Alert Construction Manager and Project Manager of any collector scope which seems to be struggling to meet schedule. Propose solutions for schedule recovery. Track receipt of Owner Furnished and EPC furnished items to ensure schedule conformance. Notify procurement, CM, and PM of any schedule slippage in receipt of commodities and components. Assist with development of Energization Plan which conforms to PPA requirements and work with HV and Commissioning to ensure switching procedure is complete. Quality Assurance Through daily field inspections, ensure EPC contactor's QA-QC program is effectively implemented in the field. Make periodic checks of each Schedule of Value specific items to ensure conformance to Specifications and Best Practices Main inspections are to include the following Cable trench width and depth Compaction means and methods and testing results Splices and Terminations Clean Installation of Terminations Witness Phasing of the MV Cables Witness Last Chance Test not in the Arc Flash Zone Cable trench and cable orientation Cable Testing before and after installation test results If non-conforming items are discovered, notify EPC Contractor via email to make corrections.

The ClientCollector Superintendent is not the project's QA-QC Inspector. Our job is to ensure the EPC Contractor and Subcontractors are adhering to their own QA-QC programs as contracted and following the specifications of the
