Planning and Development Services About Our Job Inspect building construction, alterations, and repair to enforce compliance with electrical codes.Job Description:
Review plans and specifications for proposed construction buildings and building improvements Issue notices of code violations applicable to their license(s) Enter results of inspections into the Land Information Management System (LIMS) database, and will prepare reports, worksheets and prepare daily activity reports Research files and databases and maintains a variety of source background materials for reports. Provide and maintain excellent customer service standard in answering questions from the public pertaining to building issues, codes and ordinances and interface positively with peers, co-workers, and other customers across the enterprise.Work Hours:
Monday- Friday, 7:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.
About You Minimum Qualifications:
Electrical Inspector Level I- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Preferred Qualification:
State of Florida Standard License issued by DBPR as an inspector for Electrical. Electrical Inspector Level II- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Other Certifications include:
Damage Assessment Certification (from ICC), Fire Safety Inspector I (from the Division of State Fire Marshal). Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License. Subject toPassing Substance Screening:
This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.About Everything Else Pay:
