We are currently seeking a fully licensed home inspector in the state of Florida. Previous experience is a bonus but is not required. This position requires someone who is comfortable with growth and change and is willing to learn, adapt, and develop within an ever-changing industry that continually requires higher levels of competency. We are looking for someone who is dependable, punctual, hardworking, and willing to go above and beyond what is asked. Most importantly, we are looking for a good person who will represent our company well and contribute positively to our team. The candidate will need to be located in the Sarasota/Bradenton/Manatee County area. Driving will be a consistent part of this position, and you may be required to travel outside of these areas as needed. Please note all applicants not located in Sarasota, Bradenton or Manatee county will not be considered for the position. Primary Objectives Provide detailed information through written and verbal communication regarding the findings of inspection Ensure client receives unbiased, neutral feedback regarding findings Build trust with clients and real estate agents using a calm demeanor, consistency, honesty, thoroughness and communication Produce consistent and professional services, both written and verbal Communicate value to client regarding additional services that are provided Communicate as a team player within the organization regarding opportunities of improving service, value and product offerings Regular Work Activities Perform residential home inspections Communicate findings clearly and professionally Perform add-on services inspections Attend ongoing training in-house and field Driving to multiple locations per day Providing same day reports to clients Answering emails and phone calls with clients and agents Job Requirement Home Inspector License Knowledge of building systems Computer proficiency Clean Driving Record Customer service experience Time management skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Flexible working environment Must be able lift 50 lbs. Must be able to traverse through attics No fear of heights or small spaces Driving to various locations in a timely and safe manner Key Skills Be teachable/coachable Strong attention to detail Strong verbal communication skills Exceptional organizational skills Problem solving Ability to actively listen and remain calm under pressure in confrontational situations Ability to interpret and analyze data Concern about doing things the "right way" Experience / Training Licensed in the field
