Experienced Construction Inspector (Pipeline Project) Snyder & Associates Cedar Rapids, IA Job Details Temporary | Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Construction industry experience Safety standard operating procedures Full Job Description Cedar Rapids, Iowa Engineering - Construction Observation Full Time Temporary 1527 Job Description Overview Snyder & Associates has an immediate need for two experienced pipeline/civil construction inspectors for a short-term pipeline project in Johnson County, Iowa (Iowa City area). This position will serve as the county inspector on the project and will play a key role in our project team from pre-construction meetings through the construction phase, observing contractor work to ensure quality of site excavation work and related phases of construction are meeting engineering specifications and compliance with client standards at the site. Project has a tentative start date of 9/21/2026. Responsibilities Duties include documentation of the preconstruction condition of the land; inspections to ensure construction and restoration is completed in accordance with Iowa law. This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 4 to 6 months depending on the rate of construction. Work schedule will be dependent on construction schedule but is tentatively expected to be six days per week, 10-12-hour per day. Overtime is required and will be compensated at a rate of time and a half.
