Job Title:
QA/QC Engineer Job Description We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support quality assurance and quality control efforts on a utility-scale solar construction project. This role will work closely with field teams, project management, and subcontractors to ensure all electrical installations meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform quality inspections of electrical installations, including DC/AC wiring systems, combiner boxes, inverters, and switchgear, as well as grounding and bonding systems. Verify construction aligns with engineering drawings, project specifications, and NEC and applicable codes/standards. Support inspection and test plans (ITPs) and documentation processes. Conduct and document pre-installation inspections, in-process inspections, and final acceptance walkdowns. Track and report non-conformance issues (NCRs) and support resolution efforts. Maintain detailed quality records, reports, and turnover documentation. Collaborate with field superintendents, electrical foremen and crews, project managers, and engineers. Assist in coordinating with third-party inspectors and client representatives. Support commissioning readiness and punch list completion. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering. Experience in quality assurance, electrical inspection, and project management. Knowledge of electrical codes and solar electric systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as a QA/QC Tradesman is beneficial. Work Environment This role is onsite at a construction solar farm (green field). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Effingham, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
