Construction Engineer/Construction Inspector

Job Overview BLA Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Engineer/Construction Inspector to join our team and drive the successful delivery of construction projects. In this role, you will oversee construction activities, ensure adherence to project specifications, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth project execution from start to finish, ensuring that all work complies with technical drawings, schematics, and contractual requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects, including roadway, highway, bridge, and underground utility projects. Requirements IDOT Documentation Certification OR ability to obtain within 3 months Project requires daily travel. Must have current Drivers License and vehicle. EI certification or PE certification desired but not required BS in Civil Engineering desired but not required Duties Conduct thorough construction inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards across the construction site. Monitor construction progress, collecting data on work performed and identifying any deviations or issues requiring corrective action. Review engineering plans to ensure accurate implementation during construction activities. Perform quality control checks and quality inspections to uphold high standards throughout the project lifecycle. Analyze construction processes and site conditions to optimize workflows, reduce risks, and improve efficiency. Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and stakeholders to interpret contracts, resolve discrepancies, and ensure project milestones are met. Document all inspection findings, data collection results, and site observations meticulously for reporting purposes. Skills Strong knowledge of construction practices, site management, and safety protocols. Expertise in quality control and quality inspection procedures within construction environments. Experience in construction inspection with a focus on ensuring adherence to contractual specifications. Familiarity with construction management principles and contract administration processes. Ability to collect detailed data accurately and utilize it for project tracking and reporting.

Pay:

$40.00 - $60.00 per hour
