$22.00 Reliable Roots Locating is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Professional Utility Locator to join our team in the Topeka, KS area . Our ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately locating and identifying underground utility lines, ensuring the safety of all involved and the integrity of our projects. This position requires a deep understanding of utility locating practices and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately locate and identify underground utility lines, including cables, pipes, and other infrastructure, using advanced locating equipment and techniques. Collaborate closely with project managers, construction site supervisors, and field technicians to ensure safe and efficient project completion. Perform thorough site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Provide detailed documentation, including maps and reports of located utilities, to project stakeholders. Support in land surveying tasks as needed to ensure precision in utility locations. Prioritize safety and quality in all aspects of locating work, striving to exceed client expectations. Troubleshoot and resolve locating challenges to ensure accurate markings. Travel to job sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Skills and Qualifications:
REQUIRED
- 2+ years experience in utility line locating, with a strong understanding of industry practices and standards.
REQUIRED
- Must have experience locating all types of utilities , including gas, electric, water, sewer, telecom, and fiber optics. Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, maps, and utility records. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to safety and accuracy. Ability to work independently and effectively in various environments, including residential, commercial, and construction sites. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. Must be physically fit, capable of working in various weather conditions, and navigating different terrains.
