City of Bay City Full Time - Rental Housing Inspector Building Code Enforcement Department - U.W.U.A.
L542 JOB SUMMARY
This position involves skilled inspection work doing inspections of rental housing units located within the City of Bay City in compliance with the International Property Maintenance Code and all applicable codes, ordinances, standards and regulations. Responsibilities include the performance of both technical field and office work in carrying out assigned duties. Inspectors must use considerable independent judgment and discretion in the performance of their duties.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diplomas or GED equivalent. Possession and maintenance of a vaild State of Michigan driver's license. Work requires regular in-person attendance on the days and times scheduled, a high level of mental alertness and integrity. Participate in classes and on-going training sessions relative to the codes and inspections; obtain and maintain level of proficiency specified and required for position.
