Inspector

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented HDD Jobsite Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality on all Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) fiber optic installation projects. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough on-site inspections of active and completed jobsites, including pedestals, handholes, restoration work, and overall site cleanliness. This role plays a critical part in maintaining project quality, protecting company reputation, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Perform daily and weekly inspections of active HDD fiber optic jobsites, including drilling operations. Inspect fiber pedestals, handholes, vaults, and splice points for proper installation, labeling, grounding, and sealing according to company and industry standards. Evaluate restoration quality, including backfill, surface grading, seeding, sod replacement, and compliance with municipal or property owner requirements. Assess overall jobsite cleanliness, ensuring debris, equipment, and excess materials are properly managed and removed daily. Document inspection findings with detailed reports, photographs, and corrective action recommendations using digital tools and company software. Identify and report any deviations from project specifications, safety violations, or quality issues to project managers and superintendents promptly. Conduct pre-installation, in-progress, and post-installation walkthroughs with internal teams and third-party contractors. Collaborate with construction crews to provide real-time feedback and coaching on best practices. Track punch-list items and verify completion of corrective actions. Physical stamina to walk job sites, climb in/out of handholes, and stand for extended periods.

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
