- Drive-by / occupancy — confirm whether a property is occupied, vacant, or unknown, from the curb.
- Exterior — photograph and describe the condition of the outside of the home.
- Interior — walk-through documenting the condition of each room and the home's systems.
- Insurance loss / repair verification — confirm completed repairs match the work order, before and after.
- Valid driver's license
- Your own vehicle, registered and insured
- Smartphone with a working camera and GPS
- Willingness to complete a background check
- 18 or older
- Able to write a clear, professional sentence — the report is half the job
- Comfortable working alone, on your feet, outdoors, in whatever the weather is doing
- Professional appearance and demeanor at the door (you'll wear a Property Pros ID badge) No prior experience is required. It helps, but we train every inspector from scratch and nobody is dispatched before they're certified. Nice to have
- Prior mortgage field services or property inspection experience — Safeguard, InspectorADE, or similar platforms
- Already inspecting for another company. Working with several companies at once is normal in this industry. We're not asking you to leave anybody; plenty of our inspectors run Property Pros orders alongside what they already do.
- Any background where you documented conditions for a living: appraisal, claims, delivery, code enforcement, property preservation Training Five modules, all online, all tracked so you always know where you stand: site safety, photo standards and GPS tagging, reading occupancy indicators, building a clean submission package, and field conduct.
