What do you need to be considered for this incredible opportunity? Have at least five (5) years of experience as a building inspector with a government organization & three (3) years of experience as a plans examiner. Have ICC Certification as a Building Plans Examiner or be able to obtain certification within six (6) months of start date. A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or related field is preferred. Supervisory experience is preferred At least two (2) years of experience related to enforcement and/or application of property maintenance, building, sign, zoning, and codes is preferred. What does "A Day in the Life" Look Like? Review and approve building and construction plans to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Interpret and apply ICC codes, ordinances, and technical standards to real-world projects. Communicate code requirements clearly through written comments, meetings, and daily interactions with architects, engineers, contractors, and the public. Conduct periodic field inspections to verify construction matches approved plans. Maintain accurate records and reports to support permitting, inspections, and compliance efforts.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
