Job Description
From blueprints to pavement, make sure every project is built right. Join the City of Branson as a Construction Inspector and help ensure our infrastructure meets the highest standards. What do you need to be considered for this incredible opportunity? Graduation from an accredited technical school program or a college or university with an Associates of Technology degree in construction related program. Three (3) years of directly related work experience may be substituted for formal education as determined by the Department Director. Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. Possess a valid Class B CDL license or obtain within twelve (12) months of start date. (A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam is required before start date) Possess or be able to obtain certification in Work Zone Safety within twelve months of start date. Be willing to work snow routes that include 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March. Be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings. Here's what you get to do: Inspect public works construction projects such as streets, bridges, water and sewer lines, sidewalks, and other infrastructure to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with plans and specifications. Monitor materials and testing for concrete, asphalt, soils, and aggregates to verify quality standards and proper documentation. Support and coordinate capital improvement projects , including reviewing plans, tracking project progress, and assisting with documentation, reports, and contractor communication. Promote safety and compliance in the field by reviewing traffic control plans, ensuring ADA accessibility standards, and helping maintain safe conditions for workers, pedestrians, and motorists.
