Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Construction Inspector to support a client on new building construction projects in Kansas City. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the owner, contractor, and design teams, ensuring construction activities meet specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. This is a fully onsite role, ideal for someone with strong field experience and a deep understanding of construction inspection and materials testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as primary liaison between owner, contractors, and design professionals Conduct daily on-site inspections and document construction activities, progress, and conditions Perform and document materials testing, including concrete and rebar inspections Track labor, equipment, quantities, and any delays or issues impacting project timelines Attend preconstruction and progress meetings and provide detailed reporting to project managers Review contractor schedules, pay applications, and project documentation for accuracy and compliance Identify and report any defects, safety concerns, or non-conforming work Assist with punch lists, final inspections, and project closeout documentation We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements 6+ years of construction inspection or relevant field experience LPA Construction Certification or similar inspection certifications Experience working with contractors in active construction environments Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and project documents Hands-on experience with materials testing (concrete, rebar, etc.) Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain) Background in civil, structural, or related construction disciplines Experience with document management systems
