The City of Raymore is seeking an experienced, collaborative Building Official to lead our Building Inspections Division. Overseeing building and life-safety codes, you will direct daily operations, manage plan review workflows and building permitting, and partner with local and regional builders and developers to ensure safe, sustainable growth. This is more than an inspection and enforcement position. It's a leadership opportunity to influence how the community grows, protect public safety, develop a high-performing team, and help shape the City's future. If you bring strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and a commitment to exceptional public service. Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related field. Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in building code enforcement, building inspections, or a related field. Two (2) years of supervisory or administrative experience. Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

Valid Missouri driver's license. Required International Code Council (ICC) certifications, including: Building Official

▪ National Electrical Code

▪ International Plumbing Code

Pay:

$71,688.00 - $83,137.00 per year
