Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Building Inspector, Code Enforcement Officer, and Health Officer dedicated to ensuring the safety, compliance, and health standards of our community. In this multifaceted role, you will inspect construction sites, enforce building codes and health regulations, and promote safe practices across various projects. Your proactive approach will help maintain high-quality construction standards, safeguard public health, and foster a safe environment for residents and workers alike. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of new and existing buildings to verify compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and health standards. Review blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and contracts to ensure adherence to approved designs and specifications. Perform quality control and quality inspection assessments during construction projects to identify deficiencies or hazards early on. Collect data related to construction activities, site conditions, and compliance status for reporting and analysis purposes. Enforce code violations by issuing notices of violation, citations, or orders for corrective actions when necessary. Collaborate with contractors, developers, property owners, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project progress while maintaining safety standards. Monitor construction sites for adherence to safety protocols, pipeline integrity (if applicable), and overall construction management practices. Document findings meticulously through reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, and follow-up actions. Skills Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and pipeline infrastructure (if relevant). Excellent analysis skills to evaluate complex construction plans and identify potential issues or non-compliance. Proven experience in construction inspection, quality control procedures, and site supervision. Ability to assess construction quality through visual inspections and technical evaluations against standards. Familiarity with contracts management related to construction projects and enforcement procedures. Data collection expertise for compiling detailed reports on inspection outcomes and violations. Effective communication skills for liaising with contractors, government officials, and the public while enforcing regulations professionally.
