Real Estate Inspector - Municipal Assessing - Recent Grads Welcome!

We are a well respected Real Estate Appraisal Firm in the State of NJ - visit us at www.asinj.com We are hired by Municipalities throughout the State of New Jersey to perform Real Property Valuations. No experience necessary. We will train you to inspect and accurately record property data. This data is an integral part of our business enabling us to produce reports for tax assessment valuations. You will meet with property owners and measure, inspect and sketch residential properties using the latest tablet technology. Interesting field with great potential for career advancement in Tax Assessing and Revaluation. The position requires travel in the towns that we have contracts with, current needs are towns throughout Bergen County, Morris County, Sussex County and Essex County.

JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

This position would be a great fit for people who are self-motivated, articulate, organized and detail oriented. The candidate must be proficient with tablet technology. This position offers great flexibility but also requires accountability. The position is entry level and a great opportunity for recent graduates as well as anyone who has an interest in the real estate and appraisal industry. Past experience in construction, architecture or renovation is also helpful but not a requirement.

Other desired attributes include:

strong listening skills, outstanding customer service, knowledge of basic math principles, tactful, and the ability to work independently with limited day-to-day supervision. Valid driver's license and daily use of personal vehicle is required. Full benefits package including health, dental, 401(K), holiday, vacation and sick pay. NOT a 1099 position 6 weeks of paid training @ $20.00 per hour. Following training the position becomes production based allowing you to control your earnings.
