As a HERS Rater, you will be responsible for completing 3rd party inspections for energy efficiency testing to new construction and the alterations projects. The right candidate will have experience on construction sites, acting as an impartial 3rd party, able to communicate with Construction Managers on jobsites, able to lift heavy equipment, and travel where necessary to meet the needs of the client. If you are not already a Certified HERS Rater, we will provide all training and certification to the successful candidate. Must be very fast and professional. The candidate will eventually need to be certified in all aspects of Title-24 and ICC code compliance. Current energy testing certification a BIG plus. Must have clean driving record. All training paid by Builder Services Network. Vehicle, gas, testing equipment, and tools are also provided by the Builder Services Network. JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Construction Management training.
  • Strong ability to work independently.
  • Strong decision-making ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with general contractors.
  • Experienced in documenting results in informal reports and presenting the results.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
:
  • Residential construction sites for single family and Multifamily new construction
  • Commercial job sites if your certifications take you further in the industry
  • Existing homes for alterations working with occupied Homeowners
  • Traveling from job site to job site throughout the day
  • Consulting with
