This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with construction professionals, and support quality control in the office. Your attention to detail and analysis skills will help maintain high standards across diverse construction projects. Duties Customer Service-Acting as first point of contact for the public. Answer phones & Take messages for building inspector, entertaining inquiries regarding zoning, codes and permit status.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate databases of permits, complaints, violations, and fees collected, records of inspections, site visits, and data collection efforts for documentation and reporting purposes.
Administrative Support:
Providing clerical support, such as processing permit applications, scheduling inspections, and scanning daily reports.
FOIL Requests:
Handling Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests related to building files.
Reporting:
Compiling monthly reports on department activities for the building department Requirements Knowledge of Excel and Word to navigate the Williamson Law Computer program Filing and record keeping skills Part-time hours (15 Hours per week) Ability to speak clearly and respectfully with the public, in-person and on the phone

From $20.06 per hour
