Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/Dishwasher to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, focusing on food preparation, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in menu planning and meal preparation to meet the nutritional needs of our clients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are followed at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation. Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service to guests. Utilize knife skills for food preparation while adhering to safety standards. Support the dietary department by assisting with special dietary needs as required. Skills Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in roles such as Cook or Dishwasher. Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food. Experience in menu planning and catering is highly desirable. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience in dietary aide roles or similar positions is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
