Job Description

Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Resident Engineer to join our Construction Engineering & Inspection team in New Windsor, NY! Our team plays a hands-on role in inspecting, designing, rehabilitating, and constructing hundreds of highway, roadway, and bridges across the United States. Join our team and partner closely with state departments of transportation, public agencies, and private developers on projects that matter. Responsibilities Ability to lead inspectors or act as a solo inspector for the construction inspection of bridge and/or highway projects including measuring and calculating quantities and documenting work with daily work reports, photos, and sketches. Oversee and coordinate documentation of construction inspection including pay estimates, change orders, daily work reports, quantity checking, meeting minutes, material certifications, etc. Ensure work is completed in accordance with specifications. Apply project plans, along with company policies, guidelines, standards, specifications to the work and make decisive decisions. Maintain project documentation and communicate with individuals at all levels of the project. Coordinate activities on the project site and resolve problems related to the work. Lead other construction inspectors; providing coaching, mentoring, and direction as needed. Qualifications High school diploma/GED is required. 5+ years of construction engineering/inspection experience is required. Possess a valid US Driver's License is required. Leadership skills, decision making, and attention to detail. Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
Compensation:

Qualifications:
