Job Description
Job Summary This job is mix between a sales position and home inspector but specific to residential energy usage and proposing work to increase the comfort and efficiency in a home. You will be going in customer homes and finding issues that can be fixed using rebates, tax credits and grants. This person will work with the customer to build a work scope to fit their needs. It will focus on energy upgrade and other general construction to include but not limited to insulation, spray foam, bath fans, furnaces, water heaters, decks, wheelchair ramps, windows, doors, flooring, etc. It will also include doing final inspections and end of project follow ups. Due to traveling to customers home up to 2.5 hrs away, normal days are 10 hrs and some 12 hr days long. Others can be shorter if less travel.

Required:
2+ years in sales, customer service and/or in the energy conservation, construction or maintenance field. Must Understand the Basics of Construction Material.Preferred:
Any BPI certificates, OSHA 10/30.Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to: Conduct Home Energy Audits using provided assessment tools to evaluate customer homes Educate homeowners on audit findings and recommend upgrades to address their needs Create work scopes and then review with customers Provide estimates for additional grants such as home modifications and build a work scope within the set budget defined by the grant or customer Work alongside a team to ensure recommended upgrades are installed correctly Doing final quality control inspections on proposed work.Other:
Required to drive to the job site which may be 2.5 hrs away but will get mileage reimbursement if company vehicles aren't available. Ability to work 8-12 hours per day; stand for prolonged periods; climb and work from ladders; exert up to 100 lb. of force occasionally; lift up to 30 lb. frequently; use hand and power tools; be able to kneel, crawl, push and pull; and work in all environmental conditions and related situations (i.e. heat, cold, rain, snow).
