Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Home Inspector to join our team. The Home Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough residential property inspections and providing clients with comprehensive, accurate reports on the condition of homes. This role involves assessing structural components, roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and other critical home features, while clearly communicating findings to clients and real estate professionals. Duties Conduct comprehensive home inspections in accordance with Ohio state regulations and company standards. Assess major systems and components, including structural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and interior/exterior elements. Identify defects, safety issues, and maintenance needs, documenting findings clearly and accurately. Deliver professional, easy-to-understand digital inspection reports in a timely manner. Communicate inspection results and answer client questions on-site or post-inspection. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and compliance standards. Use inspection tools and software effectively, including cameras, moisture meters, and mobile reporting platforms. Uphold a professional appearance and represent the company with integrity. Qualifications Must be currently licensed as a Home Inspector by the State of Ohio. Prior experience in home inspections, construction, or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of residential building systems and components. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. Valid driver's license. Proficiency with mobile inspection software and digital reporting tools.
