Senior Construction Inspector (Municipal) at Pennoni Senior Construction Inspector (Municipal) at Pennoni in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania Posted in 16 days ago. Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for a Senior Inspector to contribute to our water & wastewater projects on a full-time, direct basis at our office in King of Prussia, PA .

Primary Responsibilities:

Participate in initial design meetings to discuss design scope, concepts, constructability, cost and permitting aspects Review design plans for completeness and constructability Prepare scope of work line items and prepare cost estimate Prepare bid documents that include required documents (RCO's), language, exhibits, etc based on Federal Funding / DCED/ DCNR /CDBG/ County grant requirements Prepare bid documents for PennDot Liquid Fuels funding Prepare PennDot Project application Prepare partial or final completion reports yearly Secure PA prevailing wage or Davis Bacon wage rates Prepare contractor award letter Conduct Pre-construction meetings for executed contracts and issued Notice to Proceed Review/coordinate submittal process and review technical submittals for various components included in the project. Prepare grant applications for Federal / DCED/ DCNR/ CDBG County grant programs Evaluate existing conditions of asphalt roads and make recommendations for any necessary work required prior to/in conjunction with the contract. Review and coordinate with other Pennoni divisions for scope of work including: Structural and environmental divisions, following county and/or State requirements

Basic Requirements:

Associate or bachelor's degree in a engineering related discipline (Civil, environmental, etc.) 7+ years of professional experience working in Inspections, preferably with Municipal / Infrastructure projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Flood Plain Manager CFM certification Familiar with FEMA Flood Plain Regulations for flood proofing and building elevation and Substantial Damage Estimator Tool Familiar with the requirements for the various grant programs Experience working with PennDot Understanding FEMA flood maps Familiar with local ordinances regarding flood plain management Familiar with Responsible Contractors Ordinances (RCO) as part of the bid review process Proven ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude. Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); technical writing skills are strongly preferred!
