Role Summary We are seeking a skilled Foundation Manager / Superintendent with roughly a decade of background in heavy civil construction. The successful applicant will possess comprehensive expertise in foundation systems, including H-piles, drilled shafts, tiebacks, sheet piling, and micropiles, with specific experience in industrial or marine settings. You will be responsible for overseeing field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining rigorous safety and quality protocols, and ensuring all projects meet budgetary and scheduling goals. Core Responsibilities Direct field teams, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure tasks are completed with maximum efficiency and safety. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by enforcing standards and generating weekly safety documentation. Supply the necessary equipment, resources, and technical guidance to enable crews to execute their work accurately. Oversee the progress of subcontractors while ensuring that budget and timeline targets are met. Analyze survey data, project plans, and technical specifications to effectively organize and carry out foundation installations. Improve project profitability by tracking productivity and reviewing cost reports for all foundation-related activities. Uphold high quality standards by implementing and monitoring consistent QA/QC procedures. Assist in the creation of work plans, construction designs, and major lifting strategies to ensure project success. Anticipate and address site-specific challenges or unexpected conditions as they arise. Optimize labor allocation and support the resolution of claims concerning foundation-related work. Manage essential project documentation, including material tracking, submittals, and required administrative paperwork. Candidate Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Around 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on foundation systems. Comprehensive understanding of QA/QC protocols, industry standards, and OSHA regulations. Demonstrated capacity to manage shifting priorities and maintain progress on demanding schedules. Competency in using Microsoft Office software. Possession of a current driver's license. Ability to travel locally to job sites within a 1 to 2-hour radius of our office. Desired Skills and Certifications OSHA 10-Hour certification is highly valued. Background in marine-based construction is considered an asset. Technical familiarity with drilled shafts (36-144 inches), micropiles, H-piles, sheet piling, tiebacks, cofferdams, rigging, and well points. Practical knowledge of fabrication and welding processes. Strong problem-solving, planning, and leadership capabilities. Effective communication skills for interacting with project stakeholders and owner representatives.
