Overview Join our team as a Zoning, Code Enforcement Officer, and Building Inspector, where you will play a vital role in ensuring community safety, environmental compliance, and adherence to local building and zoning regulations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work directly with the public, contractors, and government agencies to promote responsible development and uphold public health standards. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our community's infrastructure while fostering a safe and compliant environment for all residents and businesses. Duties Enforce local zoning ordinances, building codes, and construction regulations through inspections and investigations. Review construction plans, technical drawings, and permit applications to ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. Conduct on-site inspections of construction sites, existing structures, and land use activities to verify adherence to safety standards and legal requirements. Prepare detailed reports documenting violations, inspection findings, and enforcement actions; communicate effectively with property owners, contractors, and the public. Collaborate with government agencies on public permitting processes, and regulatory reporting. Provide guidance on zoning regulations and building code analysis to stakeholders seeking permits or involved in development projects. Maintain accurate records of inspections, violations, permits issued, and enforcement actions using Microsoft Office tools for report preparation and administrative documentation. Skills Strong knowledge of local building codes, zoning regulations, construction experience, and construction regulatory compliance. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and analyze building plans for compliance. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, report preparation, and regulatory reporting. Effective customer service skills to communicate clearly with residents, contractors, developers, and government officials. Ability to interpret technical documents related to construction regulations while maintaining attention to detail in inspection procedures. Pay:
$30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
