Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. As a CEI Senior Bridge Inspector, you'll be able to demonstrate a successful career in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection. The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents. Provide support to various project procedures, particularly in documentation development for the final estimate package.
Responsibilities:
On-site inspection of roadway and bridge construction. Monitoring on-site construction activities. Supervise day-to-day activities of inspection staff. Review reports from inspection staff and write summary reports of all construction activities. Assist with conducting inspections, observations, running materials tests, and checking construction work. Maintain detailed records of daily operations.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction. The position requires the completion of applicable pre-employment substance screening and background checks.

Work Environment:
This field job primarily operates in outdoor work environments that may include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.

While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle. This job may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
